Who it is for

Nine kinds of business. One way the day works.

A booking, a person or a room to give it to, a service menu, a bill and a reason to come back. Shapzo is built around that shape, so what changes between a salon and a dental clinic is the menu, the length of a visit, what else is being booked and the tax rate. All four are yours to set.

  • A styling station in a modern hair salon: a chair facing a tall mirror, with tools on a trolley

    Hair and beauty salons

    See workflows and plans

Unisex salons, beauty parlours, hair studios, barbershops

The busiest front desk of the lot: walk-ins beside bookings, a chair per stylist, and retail moving off the shelf all day.

A column per team member, service variants priced by hair length, backbar stock kept apart from retail, and commission worked out from the bill the moment it is paid.

  • A spa treatment room with a made massage bed, rolled towels and a stone bowl

    Spas and wellness centres

    See workflows and plans

Day spas, massage centres, ayurvedic and wellness studios

Here the room is as scarce as the therapist, and most of the revenue arrives as a course of visits rather than a single one.

Rooms and equipment are bookable resources, so two therapy rooms never take a third booking. Session memberships count the visits down and packages bundle them.

  • A manicure table with a task lamp, a row of polish bottles and steel tools on a tray

    Nail and lash studios

Nail bars, nail art, lash extensions, brow and threading bars

Short appointments stacked back to back, a long tail of infills and touch-ups, and regulars who come every three weeks.

Variants and extra processing time keep the grid honest about how long a set really takes. Recurring appointments hold the next slot before the customer leaves.

  • A makeup studio station with a bulb-lit mirror, brushes in a holder and stacked palettes

    Makeup and bridal studios

Makeup artists, bridal packages, on-location teams

Few bookings, large ones, often paid across months and involving the whole family before the day arrives.

Packages price the trial and the day together. Advances sit on the customer wallet with a ledger, so part payments are tracked rather than remembered, and family links share a plan across the household.

  • A tattoo studio workstation with a black leather bench, an articulated lamp and a sterile tray

    Tattoo and piercing studios

    Tattoo artists, piercing, permanent makeup

Sessions that run for hours, booked weeks out on a deposit, and an artist whose cut of the work is the point.

Drag to resize a booking that ran long, hold the deposit against the invoice, and pay each artist through a commission profile with its own rate. Allergy and aftercare notes open with the appointment.

  • An aesthetics clinic treatment room with a couch, a treatment device arm and a steel trolley

    Skin and aesthetic clinics

Dermatology and cosmetology clinics, laser, hair and slimming clinics

Treatment sold as a course, delivered in a room, on equipment that only one person can use at a time.

A session membership is a course of six with five left after today. The machine is a bookable resource. Notes carry the allergy and the last settings, and a service can be taxed at 0% where the treatment is exempt.

  • A single-chair dental treatment room with an overhead operatory light and an instrument tray

    Dental clinics

    Single-chair practices, multi-chair and multi-branch clinics

Chairs, not just dentists, decide how many patients fit in a day, and a treatment plan is rarely paid in one go.

Chairs are resources on the same calendar as the dentists. A balance can be left as a due and settled at the next visit, recall appointments are booked as a recurring series, and family links keep a household on one account.

  • A doctor's consulting room with a desk, a stethoscope and an examination couch behind a curtain

    Doctors and small clinics

    Single-doctor practices, physiotherapy, small polyclinics

A column per doctor, a queue that never quite matches the clock, and a practice too small to want hospital software.

Day and week views per practitioner, a waitlist for the gaps, DLT-registered SMS and WhatsApp reminders to cut no-shows, and receipts at the 0% exempt rate where the service is not taxable.

  • A dietitian's consulting room with a desk, a carafe of water and a bowl of fresh fruit and grains

    Dietitians and nutritionists

Diet clinics, nutrition counselling, weight management programmes

The first consultation is the small part. The programme is a run of follow-ups over three months, and the outcome depends on people coming back.

Sell the programme as a session plan, book the follow-ups as a series, and keep the notes on the profile where the next visit opens them. Retention and lapsed-customer reports show who stopped coming.

What Shapzo is, and what it is not.

Shapzo runs the front desk and the back office: the diary, the bill, the customer record, the team and the stock. It is not a clinical records system. There are no prescriptions, no lab orders and no medical charting, and the notes on a profile are practice notes rather than a patient file. Clinics run Shapzo for everything around the consultation.

Not on the list? The product does not ask what trade you are in, so if your day is appointments, a menu of services and a bill, it will fit. See the features and decide for yourself.
