Membership plan types
The three kinds of plan, what the customer gets from each, and how the benefit is applied at checkout.

| Type | Badge | What the customer buys | At checkout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discount | Discount | A percentage or flat amount off every bill for the validity period | The discount is applied to eligible lines; with Auto-apply at POS it happens without asking |
| Prepaid | Prepaid Credit | Money loaded as membership credit, often with a Top-Up Bonus % | The bill is paid from the credit balance; Top Up adds more |
| Session | Session-Based | A fixed number of sessions, for example 10 blow dries | Each eligible service uses one session |
Every plan also has a price, a Validity (or lifetime), and settings for Allow freeze/pause, Allow transfer and Auto-renew subscription.
Which to choose
- A Discount plan suits regulars who visit for many different services.
- A Prepaid Credit plan is the business's savings account: cash today, loyalty for a year, and the bonus is the incentive.
- A Session-Based plan is a course of one service at a better rate.
Where memberships show
The customer's profile has a Memberships tab and a Membership card in the header. Checkout shows a Membership benefits bar when the customer holds an active plan; see Redeem membership benefits at checkout. Sales and liability appear in the Memberships & Packages reports.
