Delete your business account
Ask for your business and its data to be deleted from the web portal or the app, what is removed and what the law makes us keep, and how to cancel within 7 days.
The business owner can delete the whole business from Shapzo at any time, from the web portal or the app. Deleting closes the business for everyone straight away and removes it for good after 7 days, so there is time to change your mind.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted: your customers' personal details, your team's logins, and the business profile and booking page.
- Kept, with names removed: invoices, payments and payroll records, for up to 8 years because tax and accounting law requires it. They are deleted at the end of that period too.
Your subscription stops renewing as soon as you ask.
Steps
On the web
- Sign in as the business owner and open Settings, then Privacy & Data.
- Under Delete business account, read what is deleted and what is kept, then click Continue.
- Enter Your password. If two-factor authentication is on, also enter the Two-factor code from your authenticator app, or tap Send code for an SMS code, or use a backup code.
- Click Delete business.
The portal confirms with Your business is scheduled for deletion and shows the date it will be removed.
In the app
- Sign in as the business owner, open More in the tab bar, then My Account.
- Under Business account, tap Delete business account.
- Read what is deleted and what is kept, then tap Continue.
- Enter Your password, and the Two-factor code if two-factor authentication is on.
- Tap Delete business.
The app shows Scheduled for deletion with the date the business will be removed.
Change your mind
For 7 days nobody can use the business, but nothing is removed yet. Sign in as the owner and choose Cancel deletion on the status screen to bring everything back. Because the subscription stopped renewing, choose a plan again under Settings, Subscription afterwards.
After 7 days the deletion is final and cannot be undone.
