Today's revenue and collected: how the numbers reconcile
What each stat card on Billing and POS counts, and why revenue and collected can differ on the same day.

| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Today's Revenue | The value of invoices dated today, after discounts and rounding, voids excluded. |
| Collected Today | Money actually taken today, on any invoice: today's sales plus dues collected on older invoices. Refunds paid out today are shown as Refunds today −{{amount}} underneath. |
| Outstanding (all time) | Every rupee still owed across all invoices, whatever their date. Refunds do not reduce it. |
| Total Invoices | How many invoices the list holds. |
| Avg. Discount | The average discount per invoice. |
Why revenue and collected differ
- A customer paid ₹2,000 today for a bill from last week: collected goes up, today's revenue does not.
- A customer left ₹500 due on today's bill: today's revenue includes the full bill, collected includes only what was paid.
- A visit was completed without billing: neither card moves until it is billed.
So at closing time: Today's Revenue minus the dues left today, plus dues collected from earlier days, equals Collected Today.
Cashing up
The Payment Method Report under Reports splits collected money by cash, card, UPI and the rest, which is what you count against the till. The Daily Business Summary brings revenue, collections and appointments together on one page.
