Use an advance or wallet balance
Money a customer has paid ahead sits in their wallet and can pay for part or all of a bill.
A customer who pays a deposit for a bridal package, or who leaves money on account, has a wallet balance. It shows on their profile as Advance / Wallet and on checkout as Advance.
Pay from the wallet
- Choose the customer. If they have a balance, the Payment panel shows an Advance line with Available {{amount}}.
- Enter how much of the balance to use, or click Max to use as much as the bill allows.
- The panel shows Paid from advance and reduces what is left to pay by other methods.
- Take any remaining amount as usual and click Checkout & Pay.
The wallet ledger on the customer's Wallet tab records the debit against the invoice number.
Add money to a wallet
- At the till: use the Advance feature on the customer's profile, Collect Advance, when the customer pays ahead.
- Corrections: Adjust on the same tab adds or deducts funds with a reason.
